You Must Be Punished...

Hello everyone,

got this via another site...

If you have a S/O and they do something wrong in the relationship, are you cool with just forgiving them and moving on, or do you feel like you have to punish them in someway first?

For example, if your s/o cheated on you and you decide to stay with them, do you feel the need to get revenge before you're over it? Or do you forgive and move on? nosubliminal ...

Every relationship has its ups and downs, people are capable of making mistakes. Really the question is, Can you ever learn to trust them again? I've been in long-term committed relationships where the other person cheated. It was extremely difficult to trust them. You always wonder what they are going to do next. But when he cheated, I never felt a tinge of hatred or need for vengence. That is not what love is, if they are your SIGNIFICANT other, that thought won't cross your mind. Hurt and betrayal may cross it repeatedly. But in love all things are possible, as is the ability to forgive and forget.
